Klay Thompson was hot on the heels of missed free throws after the Warriors victory

Klay Thompson missed a pair of free throws in the final moments of Game 1 of the Western Conference semifinals and was unprepared to give up even after a victory.

Thompson went to the first free throw with about four seconds left in Game 1 of the Memphis Grizzlies. Unusually, he missed both, giving Memphis a chance at a buzzer victory. However, Ja Morant missed a layup, and the Warriors escaped with a victory.

Thompson didn’t look relieved. He could still be heard punishing himself for missed free throws after the game was over, while the cameras picked him up saying “make a free throw.”

Obviously, Thompson had reason to be frustrated. He is an 85% free throw shooter for his career and will make the most of them most of the time. It was a pretty bad time to miss two, even though he got rid of it in the end.

Missed free throws from unlikely sources have been a topic for Golden State lately. Don’t count on it to continue.
