Invoices – B-
It’s hard to compare the scores in the NFL draft by team with Buffalo, because the Bills didn’t go into the draft with a lot of pressing needs. To their credit, the team’s greatest need was for a corner kick, and Bills switched to Kaiir Elam.
But Buffalo could have jumped a little on James Cook in the second round as well. On top of that, Bills did a good job of adding depth, especially in defense. In addition, bettor Matt Araiza seems to be able to make a difference in special teams, making him an excellent addition to a team with aspirations in the Super Bowl.
Dolphins – F
It’s impossible to look at the NFL Draft scores by team and not give the Dolphins a failure score.
In their defense, they had only four choices, their first being 102nd overall. Getting Georgia linebacker Channing Tindall in the third round was a good choice. But with so few choices and so many needs to be addressed, Miami opted to use a pick for third-row quarterback Skylar Thompson, which was simply not a good use of the draft pick.
Patriots – C
There were some confusing choices Pats made in this draft. They really got to Cole Strange at the end of the first round. Taking on quarterback Bailey Zappe in the fourth round was also puzzling.
The second-round pick, Tyquan Thornton, was also at hand. In addition, Pats probably did not need to recruit two runners. Of their 10 choices, only a few have made much sense.
Jets – A +
In a shocking reversal of the convention, the Jets did something right. In fact, they did a lot of good things, removing it from the park in this project. Of course, it’s a little easier when you get three picks in the first round and all seven photos are in the first four rounds.
But the Jets did great things with those picks, so when you look at the NFL Draft team scores, they probably set the curve. Ahmad Gardner is an interesting addition to a position of need. The Jets are also helping their young defender by taking Garrett Wilson to 10th place overall.
Jermaine Johnson is also a massive 26th overall robbery. They were also the first team to receive a runner in this draft, getting a good one at Breece Hall in Iowa State. It could be argued that the Jets recruited the best cornerback, wide receiver and runner in this draft. Not even in the third and fourth rounds did they do so badly, making this draft a great success for Gang Green.
Corbi – B-
The Ravens received bad press because they replaced Marquise Brown during the draft, especially since they did not send another reception to replace him. But the Baltimore class didn’t come out half bad.
Kyle Hamilton could be a major theft in 14th place overall and the same could be true for David Ojabo in the second round. The Ravens have also moved in to receive central midfielder Tyler Linderbaum, who is close to a secure job and is in dire need of them. Baltimore also did a good job with six picks in the fourth round. Offensive Tackle Daniel Faalele could be the starter one day. Also, the tandem of corner defenders Jalyn Armor-Davis and Damarion Williams will give it even more of a secondary boost.
Bengals – C-
After a strong offseason, the Super Bowl losers rank quite poorly in the NFL Draft team scores. Safety Daxton Hill is a good player, but the Bengals did not have to use their first-round pick for safety, nor did they have to use their second-round pick for safety Taylor Taylor-Britt.
Keep in mind that Cincinnati had only six picks in this draft. However, they recruited three safes and no corner defenders. The Bengals did not add any depth to their offensive line and waited until the seventh round to add another passenger.

The Browns did not have a first choice until the 68th overall selection
