The latest episode of Moon Knight left fans in buckets of tears, while Marc Spector (Oscar Isaac) revealed the traumatic past he hid from his different identity, Steven Grant.
However, to make the scenes even more moving, some viewers compared Marc’s pain and trauma to the suffering of Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) in the Marvel Disney Plus WandaVision series… and we’re not okay.
In episode five of Moon Knight, after being trapped in a mental institution that turned out to be the afterlife, Marc takes a journey through memory, remembering the tragic death of his brother as a child, for which his mother he blamed him.
Marc ended up being physically abused by his mother and created Steven’s identity as a coping mechanism when he was a boy.
In one scene, an adult Marc stands outside the shiva for his mother after her death and cannot enter.

Several fans noticed the similarities between the scene and a moment in episode eight of WandaVision, when Wanda fell to the ground while sitting on the land that was to become the house where she and Vision were planning to grow old, while she was tightening the title deed. .

Someone else said that Moon Knight and Wandavision “kept the trend of [an] emotional and traumatic episode before the end,” because episode five of Moon Knight is the penultimate episode of the series, as is episode eight of WandaVision.
Another fan filled both shows with praise, writing: “I have never seen the pain so perfectly represented and captured on screen. My heart aches for them. ”
A skilled viewer pointed out that in both series, the antagonist came to serve as a kind of “therapist” for the protagonist, as Wanda was forced to relive her memories of Agatha Harkness (Kathryn Hahn), while Arthur Harrow Ethan Hawke) appeared in Moon Knight as a true therapist in the afterlife inspired by mental institutions.
