F1 has witnessed many great rivalries. And one of his most famous rivalries was between Alain Prost and Ayrton Senna. Although fans know all about their track battles, they may not know that Senna sent a nice message to his arch-rival during Senna’s last weekend of racing in San Marino.

The rivalry between the two multiple world champions peaked in the 1988 and 1989 seasons. But the 1993 season was the last year in which the two rivals clashed with each other as Prost retired from F1 after winning his fourth. championship in 1993.

Senna, meanwhile, continued racing and even joined Williams for the 1994 season. During the 1994 San Marino GP, Prost visited the Imola circuit as a commentator on Saturday. Senna sent a message “miss you” to his former teammate McLaren on the team’s radio after learning about Alain’s visit.
Later, Prost wanted to become best friends with Senna in the future, after learning about the message “I miss you”. Unfortunately, Prost’s wish never came true. Because the next day, the three-time world champion got involved in a serious accident that cost him his life.

UFC American commentator Joe Rogan shared his experience watching a documentary about Ayrton Senna. Rogan couldn’t believe that no talented driver like Senna could escape an accident that cost him his life, even though Ayrton Senna was famous for his instinct to avoid danger.

Rogan said: “They go on this great performance, and Ayrton Senna was famous for having these spectacular instincts, but he ended up in an accident.”
Senna hoped to become a four-time world champion in 1994. But after the first two disappointing races, he was looking forward to scoring his first points at Imola. However, Senna left the circuit and crashed into the high-speed concrete wall. The resulting impact of the accident killed the three-time world champion.
